Title: Debuging in IDE on Linux
Post by: ssliackus on October 29, 2016, 12:33:05 pm
Hi,
How can I make debugger work on Linux? I mean in FP IDE. I have gdb installed, but I need something that works out of the IDE box.
Thanks

It works out of the ide box.
Here's a breakpoint, but everything works.
Where is your problem?

The fp-ide in raspbian repository is:
You need latest official version which supports external gdb for debugging without embedded libgdb.a.

I have bit different experience:
What? I have to take a closer look, because on a standard RaspBian install that should not happen!@!

No idea about the mint package, you should contact the maintainer. I don't have full precompiled fpc 3.0 unfortunately, only the compiler for bootstrapping fpc trunk which I use daily. I build everything from source and it's built with debugger support.
