Title: Read-only file issues [SOLVED]
Post by: carl_caulkett on June 06, 2017, 10:30:13 pm
I spoke a little too soon on my IDE issues earlier. While I've got the IDE looking beautiful again, it is suffering from the slight problem that it is only opening the files in read-only mode. I have previously sought to take ownership of my code files with the command `chown -R carlca *` and I have checked that all the individual files are readable and writeable. So why won't Lazarus open them in writeable mode?

I was being stupid, I didn't notice that the IDE had opened up the code in the old user account's folders. Opening the files from the newly created and copied folders sorted the problem. As a wise man once said, "Doh!"...
