Lazarus
Using the Lazarus IDE => Editor => Topic started by: Adri on August 12, 2017, 09:11:47 pm

I played around with the option to change the used colors and have put some XML files in 'C:\Users\......\AppData\Local\lazarus\userschemes'. Basically this works fine and I can select the schemes, but (very annoying) when starting Lazarus it complains about 'Failed to load user-scheme file C:\Users\....\AppData\Local\lazarus\userschemes\molokai.theme.xml', for example (dots are replacing my profile name).
And when clicking 'OK' on this all other scheme files are reported missing too, hence, it is working! %)
Anyone an idea where and how to fix this annoyance? >:(

You should not played with the file directly. Instead, you can can try:
Lazarus main menu > Tools > Options > Editor > Display > Colors

@Handoko,
This woks fine (as written), but nevertheless the IDE complains about NOT finding these XML files upon starting. Most likely I did something wrong somewhere, but how to fix this?

I am using Lazarus 1.6.4 and Windows10.

Please don't cross/double post.
I merged both topics here. (so some of those messages were originally on the other board).

Maybe one of the files is broken?
Try moving all files out of the folder and ensure they are not in use in the IDE (that is, they are not the selected scheme).
Then put them back one by one.
Still it would be a bug, if one broken xml affects all others.

You can also zip and attach the following
- your EditorOptions.xml
- the entire user schemes folder.
Then others can try to reproduce the issue.

@Martin_fr, that was a splendid idea. By copying all XML files out of that directory and putting them back one-by-one I already found two complaining upon starting. And after permanent removal not any more. I'll test the last few and declare this issue already RESOLVED. Thank for the great idea! ;D
