I'm using version 1.0.3
svn co http://svn.freepascal.org/svn/lazarus/branches/fixes_1_0 lazarus
in Linux

Well done!
I wonder if rev 38467 is included, can't find it in the fixes list.
-
38467 is a revision from the fixes branch so yes it is.
The actual revision under which it is listed is [EDIT: Seems it wasnt added to the wiki, but it is in SVN]
r38449: Fixes bug 22718. Fixes ShowModal for WinCE
38467 is only the merge of that fix from trunk to fixes

Thank you!

In addition to the disk images for Mac OS X, the package descriptions for fink are also updated to version 1.0.2 for 10.5/10.6. As before, the choice is between lazarus-aqua with native and lazarus-gtk2 with gtk2 look. In addition, crosscompiling packages of the lcl are availabe for the "easy" targets, i.e. powerpc-carbon, win32, wince-arm, wince-i386 and nogui-x86_64.

Works fine for me.
What OS? Which WidgetSet?
Also "some colums to the left": Do you mean scrolled? So you can scroll it back to normal and work? Or do you mean something else?

it's win7-64

I have made an unofficial build of Lazarus-1.0.2 on Launchpad
for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin):
https://launchpad.net/~prof7bit/+archive/lazarus-1.0.0
despite its url (1.0.0) it actually contains the latest 1.0.x release which currently is 1.0.2. It also contains packages for fpc-2.6.0.
This is an unofficial build, packaging is similar to the official .deb packages on sourceforge (only one deb for Lazarus and two debs for fpc) but its not 100% identical because I wrote my own build scripts for Launchpad from scratch.
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:prof7bit/lazarus-1.0.0
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install lazarus

Statusbar color property does NOT work! I have Windows, thank you!
-
When will fpc 2.6.1 start to get used? (bringing TMSSQLConnection into play for the masses)
Thanks

You may add a note that windows is affected too. http://bugs.freepascal.org/view.php?id=21302
It seems the issue exist in previous versions too, and is not new in 1.0.2

Lazarus releases will always use *released* fpc versions (ending with an even digit)
2.6.1 is not a released version (it is not even a version, since it is a different product every day).
So there will be no release with 2.6.1.
Once fpc releases 2.6.2, lazarus will use it.

Thanks. Could be some time then. :)
-
It's great to see another stable release so soon... Congratulations for the effort!

Great work! Thanx!
-
Awesome to see great progress with Lazarus/FPC :-)
Just curious: did something change in the Graphics unit (and/or related units)?
TextOut and CopyRect now no longer appears to be transparent ...?
(Ie. my text suddenly has a white background - 1.0 didn't have that)

Which OS?
Afaix TextOut on WIndows was always opaque. The other OS widgitset where changed to folow this.
use
SetBkMode(Handle, TRANSPARENT);
units LCLType, LCLIntf

MacOS X 10.8.2, Lazarus 1.0.2 rexported FPC 2.6.0 i386-darwin-carbon (Intel).
I did find a temporary work around for TextOut in this post (http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php?topic=6900.0).
However, still need to find a work around for CopyRect ... :(
SetBkMode(Handle, TRANSPARENT);
doesn't seem to have an effect ...
FYI: the CopyRect source is a Lazarus Resource (LRS) created from a transparent PNG - which worked great in 1.0.
The destination is a TCanvas of a TPanel.
Edit: As suggested, I started a post (http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,18585.0.html) concerning this topic.

Sorry all I know, is that changes (clipping, opaqueness) were made (at least for some Text drawing).
I don't know if they were indented to happen for your use-cases too, or if they shouldn't.
Basically have to run the same code on windows and compare.
If you can attach a small, ready to compile sample app, then I can just load it, and test the results on win.
Best to open a new topic for it. Otherwise it will get mixed with all other 1.0.2 comments.

::) I love coding with lazarus

Hello all ..
taking advantage of the holiday, I decided to download and install version 1.0.2 on another machine on my network, providing disaster with my current lazarus.
I installed the components you use and luckily I had no problems with Zeos and other herbs ...
I copied that machine projects I've done and my pleasant surprise, all I could open fine without conflicts and could generate executables smoothly again! ..
Apparently everything works fine.
Detected only problem displaying data in a dbgrid:
I cut the words of the last three columns. View the image
very thanks!

very thanks!

Version 1.0.4 appears to be available since last friday; so don't miss announcing that. ;)
I wonder where I can find release notes, change logs, etc. (before downloading >100 MB and installing).
