Hi All!
We are very excited to share with other Pascal programmers, a new and completely unique cryptocurrency called PascalCoin.
Unlike any of the other cryptocurrencies out there, PascalCoin was written in Pascal by Pascal developer Albert Molina.
The coin is still in its infancy and we need YOUR support and enthusiasm. The genesis block for PascalCoin was generated on August 11, 2016 and the total market cap is only $3.4 million at the moment. It has easy to remember account numbers, a deletable blockchain and the potential for amazing transactions speeds.

Actually, we already gave three great reasons!
"It has easy to remember account numbers, a deletable blockchain and the potential for amazing transactions speeds."
...and the list goes on. Please check out the YouTube video and other documentation and keep an open mind. There are certainly many new coins out there - ICOs (Initial Coin Offerings) hoping to make a fortune off investors. PascalCoin is something quite different: a genuine effort to create a lightweight and user-friendly cryptocurrency written entirely in Pascal, rather than being just another Bitcoin knock-off.

what is the use of it? ;D ;D ;D
-
It could be a good educational project for kids to learn Pascal coding and play with the coins ::) ::) ::)
-
kids will only find that it crashes at runtime, even though all crash reports are being censored on this forum to give the illusion of a non-crashing app.
-
Two spammers and one troll ranting at them. What a thread! :)
-
PascalCoin is potentially a great educational tool to teach Pascal programming as well as to teach about money management and the brave new world of cryptocurrency. Everyone is alloted their own account and trading is straightforward with the desktop wallet.
-
one can do the same thing with pebblestones. no need for software for that purpose.
-
PascalCoin is far more complex than a few stones! It's not software or an app. Appreciate the comments but have a look at the documentation and introduction about this awesome cryptocurrency. If it's not for you that's ok but there are many Pascal programmers who may be interested, thanks!
-
Thanks to all the well-informed Pascal programmers who have already seen this post and followed up on the other links!
PascalCoin is mopping up volume and price action while Bitcoin and the alts drop...
We are working hard on a Bitcoin and Ethereum alternative like the world has never seen before. When Satoshi Nakamoto first came out with Bitcoin, there were several naysayers who couldn't grasp the future of cryptocurrency. This is Bitcoin 3.0!

Bump!
I took a look to the code and it looks commented but not enough to be "educational".
Anyway, good idea and best luck.

Bump!
Just tried to compile it using lazarus and it gave an error.

What compiler error did you get?
What version of Lazarus? It compiles fine for me in Lazarus 1.8.4.

Just fixed it; i needed install OpenSSL first (i edited my prev comment)
Looks very interesting the whole code. I will study it in a deep way to try to understand how this coin works.
