Unable to type some characters
« on: May 03, 2010, 04:17:27 pm »
Hello, I've recently installed Lazarus on Ubuntu 10.04 and I have one little problem while writing the source code for a pascal based program.
When I try to type for example '>' by pressing Shift+AltGr+X (If im nos mistaken), it doesnt work at all and when I do the very same thing on a internet explorer It does work.
How can I solve this?

Thaks.

PS: Pardon my bad english, its not my native language.

What language/ keyboard-layout do you use?

One possibility could be, that this key definition is assigned to some command in Lazarus. In this case it get's eaten by the command, before it gets a chance to be mapped to a char.
- Look at the Environment Options => Editor => Key Mapping.
- Use "Find key combination"
And see if anything uses this key combination.

I just realize that i have a key for "<" and ">" I guess that the combo of Shift+AltGr for some reason inst allowed or recognized.
Well, my problem ends here.
Thanks!!!
