Zeos port for Lazarus status

Just visited the zeos forum and there seems to be some improvements on the port for Lazarus.

NO real progress has been made.
However FPC now supports Interfaces and Variants wich means a full convertion is now possible, i will give it a try as soon as i have some time, why don't you try SQLDB and UIB(Donations) until Zeos is ported.

Hello,

as you may know, I am currently working on porting the zeos 6.5.1 to lazarus but it is like walking over a mine field! :wink:
A few weeks ago it was the variants support which did not work properly. Now since a few days the interface support has changed and make it unable to Open a DataSet because somewhere in the depths of the fpc there is raised an access violation. As soon, as Lazarus/FPC is stable enough and the version will pass our tests I will add the sources to the cvs of zeos.
