« on: July 17, 2009, 12:09:53 am »

Hi;

I'm using Ubuntu, and whenever I use cntrol+C, or select copy from the menu, Lazarus instantly closes.
No errors, just dissapears.

Has anybody seen this before, and how can I resolve this issue, as I keep on loosing work !

many thanks
Marc

What Lazarus version do you use? Maybe you can try a snapshot (version 0.9.27).

I'm using the default package supplied with the latest Ubuntu - version 9.26.4-beta

You start Lazarus from the console?

ive seen this a few times and it sux..
ive come to just think that package is not worth using..

the best and simplest resolution is to remove that package and install these ones.

The problem is a clipboard problem with GTK2 in exactly that version.

If you can live with the ugly GTK1 it works (actually you can still compile to GTK2, as long as the editor is GTK1).

Alternatively you have to install a newer version (0.9.27 works fine).
