BGRAbitmaps component installation fail

I am trying to install BGRAbitmap component, but it won't. Lazarus compiles with no error. I click on install after compiling it and the compiler shuts down on its own after about 20 seconds. However, it doesn't restart at all. I noticed it was still listed in the System monitor process list. I kill the lazarus process. I restart Lazarus but there is no BGRABitmap components on the palette. What am I doing wrong?

BGRABitmap package does not contain any visual component. It is not necessary to install it.

BGRAControls does contain visual components that use BGRABitmap for rendering.
