Industrial Control Objects or Create New Controls?
(1/1)
MrBill:
Hi,
I've been experimenting with Lazarus/FPC and am very impressed!
I'd like to use it to create some industrial control and test system prototypes. It seems the only thing I need is some objects (controls) to represent industrial control objects and measurements. Things like thermometers, gauges, motors, pumps, valves, etc.
Is there a library of these kinds of controls out there? If not, where can I find some guidance on making my own controls?
Thanks,
Bill

Yes. That's the kind of thing I'm looking for.

Jurassic Pork:
hello,
in the On-line package manager, you have also the IndustrialStuff package (see attachments).

Exactly!
The idea of the package is to provide relatively light versions of commonly used industrial controls. It means no heavy dependencies.
It can and should be extended. It is not complete in any way. Patches for new components are welcome.
I think PascalScada is more comprehensive and bigger.
