FPC on aarch64
« on: August 30, 2018, 09:32:08 pm »
Hi,

I am able to cross-build FPC for AArch64, but only with current trunk and 3.2 svn branch.
With 3.0 svn branch or current release (3.0.4), it fails to build with:
Code: Pascal  [Select]
  1. Makefile:209: *** The Makefile doesn't support target aarch64-linux, please run fpcmake first.  Stop.

Is there any plan to backport patches to stable release 3.0.x ?
Or when will be released the 3.2 version ?

It is (will be) in the 3.2.0 release. Since that is already branched I don't think it will be back ported to 3.0.4.
inline variables like in D10.3 are a bit like Brexit: if you are given the wrong information it sounds like a good idea. Every kid loves candy, but it makes you fat and your teeth will disappear.

Roadmap still depends on too many variables. If no major things happen, RC1 this year, release early next year.
