Although my first taste of Lazarus dates back to version 0.9, I started to use it more regularly in 2015. By 2016 it became my main development environment for both Windows and Linux software.
In February 2016 I started development of Solpage, a program that computes planetary positions, alignments and angles from any view point. Alignments are not just found for a given moment, but also in a specific time-frame.
https://www.ditrianum.org/solpage.htmA year ago I started development of an important additional feature: the Solar System Geometry Index (SSGI), which is a chart depiction of the planetary geometry in a given time-frame.
https://www.ditrianum.org/ssgi.htmSolpage has become a full-fledged astronomy software program that is being used to anticipate larger earthquakes. It is completely written and compiled with Lazarus (~5 MB) and used on both Windows and Linux (currently Manjaro).
Without Lazarus this development and portability would not have been possible. Many thanks to all the developers who are and were involved in the Lazarus project.
