Forum GDPR
« on: June 18, 2018, 08:32:24 am »
Hello, as the new GDPR regulation is in use throughout Europe, I was wondering: what forum does this plugin use to be in accordance with the law?

I ask this because I would like to know how to behave for the Italian community that also uses Simple Machine Forum.

Thanks so much
Win10, Ubuntu and Mac
Lazarus: 2.1.0
FPC: 3.3.1

You are probably better off going to the Simple Machine forum. A quick Google found this link for starters: https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=557199.0
Windows 10 Home, Lazarus 2.02 (svn 60954), FPC 3.04

Here's the relevant link for FPC GDPR compliance:

https://www.freepascal.org/privacy.var

I don't find anything like that for the Lazarus forum, though.

Since the top level domain is covered, the forum is also covered. Location does not matter.
Specialize a type, not a var.

The "4 possible locations" specified do not include the Lazarus forum and its logging of IP, etc., so it's excluded by implication.

At the very least the Lazarus forum needs a link to this.

I did not understand anything. Sorry, but if one arrives directly at the forum does not have to tell him something about the use of cookies?

bugracker, Forum and wiki are shared resources, and explicitely named, but I agree a link wouldn't hurt

Although the link to "The forum" is broken, so it's hard to know what that refers to.
