FPReport Designer Error - Unable to open file .lazarus

When I try to open FPReport Report Designer from Lazarus IDE, I get the following error message:


--- Quote ---Unable to open file "/home/testuser/.lazarus".

Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption.
Press Abort to kill the program.
--- End quote ---

And when I click Abort, this message appears:


--- Quote ---The component editor of class "TFPReportComponentEditor" has created the error:
"Unable to open file "/home/testuser/.lazarus""

--- End quote ---

System is Debian, Lazarus Trunk + fpc trunk. My lazarus installation is in /home/testuser/pascal/lazarus/ path, and /home/testuser/.lazarus/ is an existing lazarus configuration directory.

I had to change my Lazarus primary-config-path to a different directory. Now Report Designer works.
