Reorder menu items with menu editor
« on: February 27, 2018, 10:37:16 am »
In Lazarus 1.6 I could reorder menu items using drag'n'drop. It was no problem to move an item from one menu to another. Lazarus 1.8 uses a redesigned editor which doesn't support drag'n'drop. I can only move menu items up/down, but I haven't figured out how to move them to a different menu yet. Also I don't know how to convert a whole menu grup (e.g. "Edit") to a submenu of another menu group (e.g. "File > Edit").

True. That feature should be implemented in the new menu editor.

Thanks for your information. So it's currently really unimplemented and I can stop searching :D

You can implement it and provide a patch. :)

So is there some other way to reorder menu items?
Editing the LFM file seems quite risky, since I have bitmaps assigned and entries are quite big.
