Lazarus program reviewed in this months Linux Format

(1/1)

CyberFilth:
I totally stumbled across this by chance, since the reviewer didn't contact me, but this months issue of Linux Format (https://www.linuxformat.com) has a roundup of open source password managers.
They review one that I wrote in Lazarus called LazLock, https://cpunk-security.com/lazlock.html

It holds its own against some more established programs, and since it was published I've had more feedback from users and people offering to improve the translations into other languages.

Thaddy:
No RaspberryPi version?  O:-) Anyway that's good to hear!

Ñuño_Martínez:
Cool.  Didn't know about your project, and I really need one of that "Password managers".

[edit] I've downloaded the LazLock for Linux GTK version and it doesn't work properly (Linux Mint 18.2):  I can't write in most of the edit boxes.  Also, some of the Spanish texts aren't translated or badly translated.  I'll take a deeper look later to sources (I haven't much time now) and see if I can fix something and send you a patch if needed. :)

CyberFilth:
Are you entering text directly into the edit boxes on the main screen or are you clicking on Add Entry and using the form that appears?
The edit boxes on the main screen are just to display login details.

If you follow the steps in the online help (available from inside the program and also at https://www.cpunk-security.com/lazlock2.html) and you still have problems then please send me more details.

As for translations, I always need improvements! So far I have native Polish, Brazilian, Brazilian - Portuguese and Turkish speakers helping out, but the Spanish translation was a machine translation.

Thanks for checking it out!
