lainz, good idea, but so far there are too few applications on your site :)
Plz take the information about opensource projects (made by Lazarus) from Lazarus Wiki, there was an article something like "application gallery"  8-)
Lazarus 1.8RC5+ FPC 3.0.4.
Windows 7 x32, RAM 3 Gb.

Hey lainz, thats a good thing but I wonder how it fits in with -

http://wiki.freepascal.org/Projects_using_Lazarus   or
http://wiki.freepascal.org/Lazarus_Application_Gallery  or
http://wiki.freepascal.org/FPC_Applications/Projects_Gallery    ?

I am currently getting ready to convince some people to move a project over to Lazarus but very concious of the old and out of date data on the Wiki.  Rather than making a new page, your great efforts might be better used in updating the existing one perhaps ?

Or at least cross link between them ?  A new user (like me) will find the above listed ones because they are all listed on the main page but won't find your excellently presented page unless they spot this thread.

What would be really effective from a promoting FPC/Lazarus point of view would be a current page and then a single, "historically interesting" page. I'd be quite keen to help achieve that but suspect your page may require more than wiki access ?

This website is long overdue... very nice...  :)

Unfortunately @dbannon is right, it's hard to ask Aunt Google to find it... (I always use the new link in my browser...). I thought "LAZARUS Apps" or "LAZARUS Apps Github" should work, but it doesn't show up for me...

Hmmm, this is funny... If I use "duckduckgo.com" then it's the second hit !!! Great...  :D

I will add more tags on the site.

For those that do suggestions, I think if you also want to help... read the next:

I need help. Basically pull requests. So go and download the website and add more entries (images included) so we can do it faster. Else it will take forever if I do this alone.

Edit: here are the sources
https://github.com/lazarusccr/apps

Just make a copy on your github account, then add a new app, finally pull request, easy.

Hi,

I like the idea.
One suggestion is to open links in new tabs.

You can add a couple of my applications, both include icons in their source archives and installation files:
1. XML Tree Editor
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xmltreeeditor/?source=directory

2. SQLite Micro Manager
https://sourceforge.net/projects/sqlmm/

Thank you!

Sorry all, I'm leaving this website. Feel free to create your own version and hosting it anywhere, is too much work to do, the wiki is already good with a lot of projects, and anyone can contribute to it directly, so if your project was not listed please list it on the wiki.

Total Commander 64bit
http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=47005

LOL, totally funny he does the 64bit in Lazarus and the 32bit in Delphi 2.  I don't think the exe size really matters anymore LOL.
***Snorkel***
If I forget, I always use the latest stable 32bit version of Lazarus and FPC. At the time of this signature that is Laz 3.0RC2 and FPC 3.2.2
OS: Windows 10 64 bit

Excellent piece of "promo-ware". Is it safe to assume that these apps are predominantly for Windows? And would it be worth noting those which are multi-platform?
