TStringGrid cbsPassword
« on: August 09, 2017, 01:43:43 pm »
Hi all,

Simple question :

Does anybody know a TStringGrid descendant (no TDBStringGrid needed) able to manage a masked password custom Editor in its columns?

I would be glad to use such a grid if it exists in a package, or use the template.

If noone knows about grids with mask edit, I will try to make my own, working on this:

http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Grids_Reference_Page#Description_of_editor_styles

and I will share it, ofc!

Thanks by advance for your answers and advices, that could light other people too
(people who need to display self registered users in a grid, having the admin right to change password without reading the original user's secret one, for example)

I have a grid of self registered users. I dont want to know about their passwords so they need to be masked, BUT I want to be able to modify a password in case of a reset email request raises my box. That is why I ask for password fields custom editor  :)

If it aready exists, please lemme know, before I start build my own Editor

here is a scrshot:
this is a lil project I will give to lazarus community.
A minimalist team online projects manager to share your code with allowed friends and work on these projects like a team (messages, alerts, comments, 3-5 revisions count depth)

'grab', 'blow' are users rights to download or upload the source code

my future copyright license HAHAHA

 Welcome.

Snipy  is a all-in-one code projects sharing solution (client/server).
I give  the whole  source code  to the Lazarus / Free Pascal community
in the Hope  that some people will get  in concern to correct bugs and
upgrade it. The only thing I ask, is to keep a mention as follow :
"based on Sam707's work from the Lazarus forum"
somewhere on an accessible "About box".
You can modify and reuse the code base in free or commercial projects
as long as you keep the above mention!

Features :

- serverside users management
- user self registration
- comments and messages from registered users
- 5 managed projects at time
- previewver: syntax highlighting for Free Pascal, C, C++, Java
- configurable outgoing transfer rate (ararat synapse)
- grab and blow restrictions for (non)anonymous users
- sounds alerters on code blow
