.so Libs for Apache
« on: July 27, 2017, 01:51:21 am »
Hi,
I am a long time Delphi user but new to Lazarus/FPC. I need to develop some middleware that serves my Win32 desktop apps with some services, some of which use a MySQL back end server.

Kind of seems like a DataSnap candidate. I have Delphi 10.1 loaded and I have 10.2 (Enterprise Level) I can load. But I want to get off the Embarcadero wagon.

Am I nuts not to go with 10.2 or is Lazarus / FPC a good option. I don't need a complicated middleware solution but I do want to easily exchange some complex record structures.

Any suggestions out there?
Thanks,
Bob K.

I know nothing of DataSnap, but searching this forum for that word turned up projects like this:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/tiopf/

Delphi/FPC compatible, you can try NewPascal fork for maximum futures with FPC.
