compiling lazarus is ending with an error
« on: July 11, 2004, 11:23:29 am »
Hallo,

i can't compile any program with lazarus, or compile lazarus self.
if i try to compile lazarus with the option gtk, or gtk2, i get some errors.

one of them:
 "/usr/share/lazarus/lazarus.pp(97,1) Error: Can't create object file: /lazarus.o"

another one:
"Can't find unit GDK2PIXBUF"

The only file i can find is: GDKPIXBUF

Is there anyone who can help me?
thanks Ener

p.s.: I'm not good in english. I'm using SUSE Linux 9.0 (german version).

AFAIK gtk2 is not usable yet.
Please use gtk1, unless you want to work on fixing the gtk2 widgetset interface.

It should work fine ! -> "if you try to compile lazarus with the option gtk" :)
If it doesn't work with GTK1 then you might not have write privilege on some directories -> "Can't create object file: /lazarus.o" :(
The future must be... Fast and OpenSource so...
Think Open and Lightning Fast!
