project is frozen, plots and such

Howdy folks,
My Lazarus project uder Ubuntu is almost done. It works pretty well but some nasty bugs make it not perfect:
1/ when shell code or other process is running one can switch between desktop, unfortunately when back to desktop with my project which is still doing something it looks like frozen, like it hang up until backgrund process is stopped. How can I get rid of this problem?
2/ I am doing plot but label of Yaxis is displayed horizontally regardless Angle option of plot's axis, any idea?
3/ There is an event for plot - OnMouseMove-when it happened I would like to have coordinates of the cursor displayed as a TLabel.Caption. I know how to display as a caption but do not know how to get information about cursor coordinates. Any idea?
