Software is virtual. I want to keep it running way after my hardware eventually dies.... 8-)
Object Pascal programmers should get rid of their "component fetish" especially with the non-visuals.

He didn't write continuously running....Or the use of a UPS with over 15 minutes of capacity. (Expensive but exists)

Aside: if the power fails in that period for longer than that in resp. Capelle a/d Ijssel, Rotterdam. Amsterdam and Zaanstad and statistically the Dutch have the least likely to fail grid in the world, that would be neigh impossible. But I think it can be explained with one of the above or a separate generator in place. As is the case in datacenters. (thaddy.com also never went unintentionally down since 2000) while I and my family suffered big time. Just the sheer fear that all of the freezer.... OMG... too much, too much... All those power-outs.. Try moving to Belgium... :-\ :-X

to be honest i changed the hardware in 2008. i profited for one weekend when relocated the printing house to shutdonw all servers - routers and file servers. the router iwas p4 40gb hdd and since then celeron 32gb ssd.... the ups is a 250 eur aeon device and keeps. running for more than 1h ... most of the power cuts in Sofia are less than 1/2... i do not remember something more tham 1h in this area since late 90...
