Search volunteer to compile program on a non-windows-OS
« on: June 06, 2017, 09:24:14 am »
Hi,

I made a small program with lazarus and the KGrid-component
Now, I'm looking for some volunteer to compile that program for use on a Mac or a linux?
The program is placed in a small map with two submaps.
Who will give it a try ?
I have no Mac, no linux so I can't compile and/or test the program

Maybe you must include the link to your program and the linkl to all libraries/package you have used.
Lazarus 2.2.6 - FPC 3.2.2 - x86_64-win64 on Windows 10

OK.
Full working executable (Windows) and all Lazarus-pascal-sources are zipped into http://www.fotospotter.be/download/shoot_test.zip
In setup  the pdf-reader is entered for Adobe reader.  This parameter is only needed if a user wants to open the pdf on the concerning page
A doubleclick on a cell opens the concerned PDF.

Thanks in advance

Just for your information:

I was able to cross-compile your app from Windows towards Linux and Mac, but not without some changes for KControls.
And besides, some more changes are needed to get your own app working on Mac.

So, you need to do some extra work on both your app as well as on KControls !

Any idea what I have to change ?  You tells you changed something ....  What ?
I see that the grid is not filled in ...
Any help would be gratefully

I think it would be the best if you install some VM's to test your app.
One Linux VM and one Mac VM.

Use Oracle VirtualBox to install
1: a Linux Mint flavor
2: a Mac OSX flavor.

You need to be able to test/debug/improve the app yourself !
Otherwise, this will be a never ending story.
