You mean there is still a part of the hint from node1 to be seen?

Looks like a bug to me.

Which Lazarus version?
Which OS?

Your project looks fairly simple. Why don't you pack all its pas, lfm, lpi, and lpr files into a shared zip and upload it here?

Trunk is the development version of Lazarus, currently 1.9.
The next release seems to be 1.8, so there will be no more fixes to the 1.6 branch.

See: http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Getting_Lazarus#Getting_Lazarus_SVN_development_version

There used to be a link to "snapshots" (a nighlty build of trunk) here,, but that's no longer here. So I guess you'll have to build it yourself from source (which is very very easy b.t.w.).

Your screenshot looks like XP. I tried your demo on my XP virtual machine, and yes, I see the error now. The Lazarus on that VM is version 1.6. Then I tried your demo with Laz 1.6 on my normal Win10 machine --> no problem. So, I guess, the issue that you see is mostly related to the OS.

It is good news! Because it seem I am the only coder in the world with XP  :D

I adapted your demo to Delphi 7 and ran it from the VM. --> same effect, no Lazarus issue, for sure. Maybe time to upgrade?
