Forum doesn't show attachments

Why doesn't this forum allow showing attachments if someone isn't logged in? Posting links to this forum (eg: in the mailing list or newsgroup) so other people could see screenshots or code samples, means they are forced to create a forum account, otherwise they don't see any attachments (as a guest).

I think that is a terrible policy. Could that be change please?

Apparently in the past, this attracted (even more) spammers and other forms of undesirables.

I spoke to the other admins, we will enable it test-wise, and see how it works.
