Lazarus 1.7 SVN Scaling problems (SVN 54483)
« on: March 26, 2017, 06:45:11 pm »
I just installed 1.6.4 on a new MacBook Pro 15" Retina (2016 w/touchbar), running macOS 10.12.3.
This work great and as expected (after struggling with the known GDB issue).

Next I installed FPC and Lazarus from SVN (54483) based on Wiki description.
This one runs as well, just with horrible scaling issues. Most of the scaling issues seem related to fonts but some are related to images and (speed)buttons.

Some examples:

- About Dialog: Wrong size image, text doesn't fit on buttons, etc.
- Components: icons squished together
- Object Inspector: Component tree font, properties header font, hint font, inconsistent boolean field font

(I'll post more screenshots in the next post)

I'm not sure if I'm the only one experiencing this and if this should be reported in bug tracker or not?
Please confirm.

More examples attached.

These scaling issues occur throughout the entire IDE, but not in my own projects (they compile and run just fine).

Also note that on my other MacBook Pro (2013, 15" retina, also macOS 10.12.3) SVN 54449 does NOT display these scaling issues.

I decided to make a bug report anyway (link) ...
It would be helpful if other Mac users could test and/or confirm this.
