Ubuntu 16.04 - success!

For those having problems (Like I did!) installing Lazarus in Ubuntu 16.04

I then had a problem with a libmysqlclient error
so, installed this one

was having loads of problems, so fresh install of ubuntu, then did all above - works perfectly.

To extend on this. I'm a FreeBSD user, but this should apply to Linux too. If you choose to use the ZFS file system instead, then you can use ZFS's built-in snapshot functionality to achieve the same feature. I highly recommend anybody running FreeBSD or Linux to switch to ZFS. It is an absolute brilliant file system, with impressive data protection and redundancies built-in, very easy to use, partitions rethought from the ground up (create and destroy partitions on the fly as needed), partitions with on-the-fly encryption or compression built-in etc. Also since the introduction of the OpenZFS Group (common development of ZFS features), ZFS now runs natively on Linux (no more terrible performance because it used to run via FUSE).
