Lazarus keeps hiding itself
« on: January 19, 2017, 07:35:57 pm »
Ubuntu 14.4, Acer i5.
I was developing my first Component in Lazarus and after the compile Lazarus disappeared from the screen. I thought it might be doing stuff so I left it for a few minutes. Nothing!

I rebooted and when I clicked the Lazarus icon in the Launcher I get the small Splash Screen then after about ten seconds, it goes away.

What's happening and how can I get Lazarus working again?

Not that it might mean anything, but if this happened with Delphi in in windows I'd delete the "delphi32.dsk" and it would all come back. Could Lazarus need something similar? If so, what and where?

Thanks
Acer-i5, 2.6GHz, 6GB, 500GB-SSD, Mint-19.3, Cinnamon Desktop, Lazarus 2.0.6, SQLite3

Delete the lazarus settings, that happened to me once and I solved it in that way.

Thanks, I assume you mean the jcfsettings.cfg file in home.lazarus?

I went to a backup so it is all working again, but for future reference, I am sure I will need it. :)

I don't know I deleted the entire folder. Made a backup and try.
