Hello,

I am new to Lazarus and we're using it in school. I just installed Lazarus 1.6.2 on Mac OS X Sierra 10.12.2 together with Xcode 8.2.1. In principle it works, but when I try to save my work then the mouse symbol changes to a spinner and the application freezes. I can only get out of this via a hard kill.

Did somebody else already run into this problem and does somebody know how I either can further debug it or solve it?

Many thanks,
Kuchen

I haven't seen that problem, but Lazarus on Mac can be pretty flaky.

How are you "saving" your work? Exact steps please.

Are you able to compile and run a new project without saving? That is, start Lazarus, which creates a new project, then choose Run | Run.

This is a known bug. see bugtracker, issue 0029911 (http://bugs.freepascal.org/view.php?id=29911). The file lazarus/lcl/interfaces/carbon/carbonwinapi.inc needs to be patched.
