Installed package, Tab and components missing
« on: December 05, 2016, 08:10:08 am »
Lazarus 1.6.2
FPC 3.0.0
Win10 x64

I have installed the 2D barcode package on Friday and today the tab is not showing (I forget what else happened in between). Checking in the "Options" list of the toolbar, it shows as empty.
This also happens with our own package atm.

I have tried clean all + rebuild of IDE, uninstall package+restart+install package+restart. No luck.

Searching the internet has not revealed anyone else having this kind of issue. What could the cause/fix be?

Hello, yes, that is how I installed it, except in its own directory (we share components in a svn repository).

EDIT: I have tried with copying the directory to c:\lazarus\coponents and install, but it still doesn't show up. >:(

I suspect it's not a problem specific to any package, because our own package with four visual components in it is having the same issue for me. And the barcodes worked last week.

I have found a workaround:

1. Uninstall the offending package, rebuild IDE
2. Rename the empty tab, i.e. "<old tab name>empty"
3. Install the package(s), rebuild IDE
4. Delete the renamed empty tab
5. Profit  :P

Might be some sort of bug?
