Mida converter
« on: October 24, 2016, 08:43:01 am »
Hello, does anyone know this product?

http://www.midaconverter.com/index.html

At bottom it says: Special support to FreePascal and Lazarus

Someone has already tried? Especially for the web part.
Win10, Ubuntu and Mac
Lazarus: 2.1.0
FPC: 3.3.1

Seems to be a converter of VCL/LCL code to Firemonkey. I'm not interested in firemonkey so I haven't bothered

I don't see anything webrelated, except that it also seems to do intraweb.

It also does vcl to vcl, (and lcl to lcl?) apparently replacing third party controls (overly themed buttons and the like) with standard controls.
That seems a useful feature.
But I never heard of it either.
Object Pascal programmers should get rid of their "component fetish" especially with the non-visuals.

Neither do I. And version 5 is released already. It looks good, but I think it's for simple programs. I don't think that own object related applications will be converted as it should be.

Lazarus 2.06 (64b) / FPC 3.0.4 / Windows 10
stucked on Delphi 10.3.1
