Some modern installers allow installation per-user. So these are for example installed in user AppData folder under Windows, like uTorrent, even Google Chrome sometimes is installed there when the accound doesn't have admin rights.

In that case you must ensure that the installer doesn't have elevation, is the opposite.

So is up to you if the program is for all users or per-user.

I think you better start with Inno Script Studio , It'll simplify your task and require less knowledge about the Inno Script.

BTW, you probably need to change this thread title to reflect what you really wanted... "Directory operations" feels not right (at least for me).
