How to order the forum search results by date?

When I execute a search for some keywords in this forum the results are not ordered. Example: Keyword "Alpha" --> the first result is of Oct 21 2015, the second one of May 06 2016, the third one of march 26 2015 etc.

I would like to order them by descending date. How to do this? I did not find anything related in my profile settings.

I am not sure but i think you are referring to the search order combobox. Change it to "Most recent topics first"or "Oldest topics First" before pressing the search button.

afaik this choice can not be permanently stored in your profile.
