Cross compiling from Ubuntu for Mac OS X
« on: July 24, 2016, 09:19:06 pm »
Hello! I don't know how to compile my Pascal application for the Mac OS X environment, in few words, how can I create a DMG from my code on Ubuntu? Thank you in advance,

That's actually two questions.

Answer to both is compile source and create .dmg for resulting app bundle on a Mac.

Thank you  :) So I can't do anything without a Mac, right?

According to http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Cross_compiling_OSX_on_Linux, cross compilation to Mac is broken since almost 3 years ago (OS X 10.8). There are hopes, such as https://github.com/tpoechtrager/osxcross which was started 1 month before the date that states cross compilation no longer works, but somebody would need to take a look, configure and test how the tool should work with fpc to produce OS X binaries. Certainly it won't be me since I don't have any Mac machine.
