{$R} DIRECTIVES
« on: June 14, 2004, 01:16:02 pm »
If i understand well {$R} directives aren't supported, but Kylix does.
Windows PE executables have resources inside them, libs, multimedia, DVCLAL licenses that tell the compiler type and a binary compressed version of .DFM/.XFM, linux executables don't have resources so they can include resources in a Binary RAW way like most windows SelfExtracting executables. Test this using PE Explorer(Trial) or ResHack(Free) on windows.
Borland has some functions to access resources in linux executables.
So what are resources, simply RAW data inserted into the executable.
Why not make Lazarus and FPC more compatible  :?:
The future must be... Fast and OpenSource so...
Think Open and Lightning Fast!
