Sorry, dfergla.

It unclear to me what exactly it is that you are asking. Could you describe (using more words) what it is exactly what you want to know ?

The only sane thing i am able to say is that AFAIK there are 2 versions of the lazarus package:
- One that is compiled for windows 64 bit (runs only on win64, is able to target win32+win64)
- One that is compiled for windows 32 bit (runs on both win32 and win64, is able to target win32+win64)

Targeting a non native cpu usually requires additional installation of a cross-compiler. In that regards it might be beneficial to know beforehand what platforms you would like to target in order to decide which lazarus version you would like to install. e.g. even though most people run a 64-bit windows they still decide to install the 32-bit version of lazarus because it is easier to add support for other platforms.

On this page: http://www.lazarus-ide.org/index.php?page=downloads

Under the Windows downloads there are 4 options:

Windows (32 and 64 Bits) Direct download
•Windows (32 Bits) Add ons
•Windows (64 Bits)
•Windows (64 Bits) Add ons

What is the difference between "Windows (64 Bits), and "Windows (64 Bits) Add ons"

Should be clear. It says:
Quote
Add-On for building and debugging 32bit Windows applications:
lazarus-1.6.0-fpc-3.0.0-cross-i386-win32-win64.exe
This file can be installed as add-on to the 64 bit Lazarus IDE (on Systems with Windows 64 bit only), if you wish to develop for 32bit Windows too.

(the "lazarus-1.6.0-fpc-3.0.0-cross-i386-win32-win64.exe" is the "add-on" you can download on that page)

"Windows (64 Bits)" is a direct link to the file named "lazarus-1.6.0-fpc-3.0.0-win64.exe" which you can also find in the directory being displayed when you press the second link named "Windows (64 Bits) Add ons"

In addition, the second link "Windows (64 Bits) Add ons" also shows you a link to the windows 32bit cross compiler (which is the actual add-on).
