Connect to a Firebird DB located in Windows Server
« on: May 24, 2016, 05:34:41 pm »
Hi all, I recently started using Raspberry. I've got a Pi3B. I installed Raspbian, Firebird, and Lazarus with no issues. I can use a Firebird DB locally in the Raspberry, and also I can connect to a Firebird DB located in one Ubuntu computer, all this works perfectly. But... From my Pi, I can not connect to a Firebird DB located in a Windows computer. Has anyone achieved it? Is there any particular setup? how do I have to write the DatabaseName in Lazarus? Is it possible to connect to a Firebird Database located in a Windows Server from a Raspberry Pi with Raspbian? Thank you so much.

What is the exact error? I would start by disabling the firewall or add firebird server(port 3050) to the whitelist.
