LAZ IDE background (?) loop?
« on: April 29, 2016, 09:37:34 am »
Gentlefolk,

Environment: Toshiba M500 laptop, Linux Mint 17.3, LAZ 1.6.

The Lazarus IDE has some sort of a loop which is using a lot of processor.
Close a project, restart Laz and with no project selected processor utilisation is around 75% (2 processors, 75% each processor).

Simple one form application, no watches, no breakpoints.

Before I delete and re-install LAZ is there any way I can collect any information (trace, log, etc) on what may be happening inside LAZ? This may help somebody, somewhere.

Gentlefolk,

A little more on this problem.

The "loop" is associated  with the way in which the IDE window is displayed.

Clicking on the window size control "[]" icon in the top right corner (the _ [] X) removes the problem.

Further checking shows it may be something to do with the pallete being pulled down to the full screen size).

Ian.
