Indy is not Linux compatible.

It surely is. I've used it in Linux successfully.

Indy is not Linux compatible.

that is at least an overstatement ...

If you describe the problems you having may be ( AFAIK, Remmy checks here from time to time )  someone can help ...

  • Probably until I exterminate Putin.
Yes it is an overstatement. Indy is Linux compatible.
I guess he simply ran into performance problems.
But that is a generic Indy issue.

Simple tasks with few expected connections can be implemented with Indy. Both on Linux and Windows.
Specialize a type, not a var.

Can you make a doc to install indy on Lazarus only ?

Download the latest version from indy.fulgan.com. It is a Zip file? Extract the zip file to a folder in your Lazarus components directory.

The install process is the same as that for Windows. Compile indylaz.lpk twice and then install it/rebuild the Lazarus IDE.

Indy is not Linux compatible.

Not when used with Lazarus and FPC, works just fine.
The only issue I had was the nagel algorithm was enabled by default and if you are doing a custom protocol with small data transfers the nagel really slows things down.
you can just turn that off though.

If I forget, I always use the latest stable 32bit version of Lazarus and FPC. At the time of this signature that is Laz 3.0RC2 and FPC 3.2.2
OS: Windows 10 64 bit
