Failed to register at freepascal.org
« on: December 05, 2006, 05:51:05 pm »
I am unable to register at freepascal.org to submit a bug on the bugtracker. After registering I received an e-mail with a link to freepascal.org. When I click on the link I receive this message:

_________________________________________________________
APPLICATION ERROR #1901

The confirmation URL is invalid or has already been used. Please signup again.

Please use the "Back" button in your web browser to return to the previous page. There you can correct whatever problems were identified in this error or select another action. You can also click an option from the menu bar to go directly to a new section.
_________________________________________________________

As I don't have a password I can't log in. Is the webmaster at freepascal.org the same as here?

Thanks. I now receive the mailing list. I also received an email to change my password. However, when I click on the link to change the password I still get an error 1901. I gave you the details of this via e-mail.

Plz ask here first if you think there is a bug. Most of the time it is you...
The bug tracker is sometimes already a bit polluted as it is. Because even people like me put a "bug" there where it should not be.
If you are not a really experienced programmer with an in depth knowledge of Freepascal, plz ask here first.

Thaddy: I read so many posts here, where the person who asked something was confronted in an very unpolite way, why he hasm't issued a bug request. And now you are saying we should not issue a bug, but ask here....

There is really no point to correct that unless you feel offended by humor or prove me wrong. O:-) I have a habit of apologizing if I am wrong... All 5 times...
