Lazarus Pasport
« on: January 05, 2016, 09:43:46 am »
The idea is simple:
Using one file, for saving & restoring Lazarus IDE options, for any version/release.

question: Can it be?

Background
Once new Lazarus came out, I must set again the Lazarus Editor options to meet my behaviour.
And it sometime a boring job to do that again and again when I checkout / cleanup svn.

Using sharing configuration among several Lazarus installation is okay, but it would mean to copy all installation of such components, which is not what I wanted.

So, I think saving some part of IDE options via (click main menu) into file is good idea.
Then, when we have a new Lazarus installation, it just need 1 click to load/restore selected IDE options from that already saved my-documents file.

What do you think?

Installing Lazarus and changing the settings every time to get a workable environment is cumbetsome
All posts based on: Win10 (Win64); Lazarus 2.0.10 'stable' (x64) unless specified otherwise...
