IDE Window position save
« on: February 25, 2016, 10:05:33 am »
Hi,

I use Lazarus in a virtual machine which is used from different PCs with different monitor resulutions.

Currently i have to resize and reposition all the IDE windows each time manually.

Is there a similar function which exists in Delphi to save the type of open windows (including position and type) in some kind of profile to have different looks at different screen resolutions or situations with one mouse click ?

Tools - Desktops does not work as expected ?
What are these saved desktops for ?

Regards K.

Resize and reposition all the IDE windows manually, then go to Tools-->Desktops and press the "Save current desktop as" button. Optionally export the saved desktop. Next time, when you need a specific desktop import it from file(if not already in the list), then press the "Set Active" button.

Alternatively you can install Anchordocking desing and Sparta packages to have a Delphi 2007+ look.
