MPlayer Example Full Featured Test Harness
« on: February 07, 2016, 11:47:56 pm »
I found that the example program in the lazarus component TMPlayerControl has a problem int he Example program designated as Full Featured.  It is set up to look for an '*.exe' extension.  The result is that on linux you are unable to find the Mplayer executable which does not have an extension in linux, etc.  So, I have added a couple of ifdef's to solve the problem.

I enclose a patch file which you should be able to update the original.

Note: I don't have write access to Lazarus SVN. Contributions are always welcomed, but it is better to submit such contributions was Mantis (the bug tracker). That way they don't get lost. Not all Lazarus developers use the forums either.

Heh.  I'm the author of that example, and yes, while I tested under Linux, that specific case wasn't part of what I tested.

I don't have write access either.  I posted all my submissions through Mantis as Graeme suggested.

Don't know Mantis?  Click on Lazarus - Bug Tracker on the left hand side.  Create an account, and submit your patch through "Lazarus CCR"  Process is fairly straightforward.  I've looked through your patch - looks good and you've avoided all the mistakes I made when I started submitting patches :-)

Many thanks
