linux: ld give a lots of blank lines

hi all

about recent half year? I met a issue that ld give a lots of blank lines while link program in linux
the count is not fixed, generally the more code compiled, the more blank line printed

today I test 2.6.3 and 3.0.0, with slack-current and archlinux, they both have this problem.
program compiled is ok, nothing unusual.
but the blank lines bother me to found compile message, especially to look up Hints/Notes/Warnings

binutils version:
2.25.1-i586-1  on slack-current
2.25.1-3          on archlinux


any help is welcome

This has been for a while and was reported on mantis too. If I recall correctly, it is a bug in "ld" linker, which has already been fixed, just need to wait until it appears in the appropriate Linux distro.
