Installing LNetVisual Component

Hi
I have installed te LNetVisual package, 0.6.5. All seemed to go well except for a warning message:
Other sources path of package contains directory "../lib" which is already in the unit search path.

And, if I drop a TelNet component on my mainform and try and run my program, I get a SIGILL at 75DC2608 error dialogue.

Being new to lazarus, I don't know how to proceed.
I want to talk to gpsd to access data from a gps on ttyUSB0.
Any help much appreciated.
