FP textmode ide
« on: October 12, 2015, 08:44:13 pm »
Hello!

First of all, big respect for teams behind FPC and Lazarus! Incredible... I was a big fan Delphi till 2000 (v3, if I remember correctly). or, till Java.
Now, I rediscovered Pascal, and its amazing.. .
Dear sirs, I feel a little ashamed for the question I have - the freepascal textmode IDE can be configured in some way for crosscompile development? As like FPC can target, ie i386 an X64? One more time, excuse me for may (maybe nerd) question.
Big respect, one more time, and thanks!.

Respectufully,
me

crosscompile on the same CPU, so multiple OSes, yes.  Crosscompile to other (main) CPU kinds, no.

Since the IDE contains the compiler you'd need to build the compiler inside the IDE cross then.
