Wrong font in printer canvas
« on: August 02, 2015, 04:23:05 pm »
I have an old program that I would like to compile with the newest version of FreePascal. It prints some text, on paper of pdf. It used to work well, but now it prints with the wrong font: instead of Times New Roman, which seems to be installed well because I can use it in other programs, it prints some sans-serif font. The strange thing is, in the form designer the font is rendered well, and while debugging I see that the font with the right name an style is chosen. But to my surprise, I see that tCairoPrinterCanvas is used. Could this be the problem? Should I do something extra with Cairo to make the font available? I would appreciate some help.

System info: OS: Linux Mint 17.2 Cinnamon 32-bit
Lazarus: Version# 1.4.0 Date 2015-07-15 FPC Version 2.6.4
SVN Revision: unversioned directory  i386-linux-gtk2

Thanks, Martin
