Designer Bug?????

I rarely suspect a bug, I usually think a problem is the result of something stupid I have done.

Place a TLabeledEdit on a form ...  and try to 'select' it by  clicking on the caption (not the edit box) ... in my case, the Form disappeared and I got the error: hcalc.pas(1,6) Error: identifier not found: TForm2

Fortunately, the form just closed and I was able to reload it from Project==>Forms and all was well again, but on my system, the problem is certainly reproduceable.

Can someone else test if this happens on their system please?

have tried it in a new application? In my system it is impossible to select the control clicking on the label instead of the edit control. What kind of packages you have installed? Are you sure on of them does not create the problem? Lazarus and fpc version?

hi taazz,  pls seem my sig for version info.

This was in a new application ...  there was also a message "codeview error 2"  .

I have rebooted and the problem has disappeared .. must be a gremlim left in the system from something i did previously. and that could be anything because I rarely reboot my PC and Lazarus  could have been running in the system for days
