« on: May 15, 2015, 06:13:07 pm »
Has anyone installed Absolute Database into Lazarus? If so, I would appreciate any assistance in how to do this. Thank you.

Absolute Database is a closed source commercial product for Delphi only. I ask them some two years ago if they would consider making a lazarus version and they said no.
So I'm afraid we'll have to do without Absolute Database in Lazarus, a pity as it's a wonderful database.
OS: Windows 10 (64 bit) / Linux Mint (64 bit)
       Lazarus 3.2 FPC 3.2.2
       CodeTyphon 8.40 FPC 3.3.1

Thank you for the replies, airpas and JanRoza.

I agree, 'tis a pity, Absolute Database does have its advantages. But I am slowly learning Firebird is a very nice alternative, just getting used to SQL, which isn't all that difficult.

Hi
Have you considered SQLite database, it's also single file, sql compliant and public domain (free)  :)
Regards Benny
If it ain't broke, don't fix it ;)
PCLinuxOS(rolling release) 64bit -> KDE5 -> FPC 3.2.2 -> Lazarus 2.2.6 up until Jan 2024 from then on it's: KDE5/QT5 -> FPC 3.3.1 -> Lazarus 3.0
