Tutorial: Creating a docker style widget
« on: March 28, 2015, 05:12:49 am »
I've written up another short tutorial related to creating a docker style widget using Lazarus.

A video clip and walk through is located here:

This is the location of my previous tutorial on animating desktop widgets:

As we say in french - "chapeau"!  It means "hats off" :)

You've done a great job. Who says Pascal is not a modern language?

Thank you all for the feedback. What I posted is an demonstration of my cross platform Free Pascal library known as Cross Codebot.

You can read more about it here

If anyone is interested in testing/using it, just create an account on the getlazarus forums and send me a pm with your desired git account username or password. I'll reply with an introduction message informing new users on how to get started with Cross Codebot.

The docker example is packed into the git repository along with a few others, and I'll continue to improve the library and add to the examples as time permits.

At www.getlazarus.org  I host a universal easy to use Free Pascal and Lazarus installer which supports FPC 3.0 (built nightly from svn sources) and won't interfere with you existing FPC/Lazarus installation. The site also has some annotated walkthroughs like this one, and an application showcase. And let's not forget about my cross platform game engine Bare Game.

Everything I am doing could benefit from your help, be it as simple as feedback, testing, or original ideas you'd like to contribute. None of that will happen if you don't join our discussions.
